My Name is Dr George A Southiere MD. I am a Board Certified Addiction Medicine Specialist as well as a Board Certified Emergency medicine Physician. I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of Substance Use Disorders, Addictions, as well as treat the Medical and psychiatric complications associated with Addictive disorders. I have a private practice in Greenville RI and am also the Medical Director of Clinical Services of RI, an intensive outpatient program which involves intensive treatment for addictive disorders. I provide detoxification services from a number of substances such as opiates, alcohol, and sedatives and am also a Suboxone provider. My primary focus in the treatment of addiction is one of psychosocial ,12 step support therapy, and intensive therapy to treat the underlying addictive thought process. While I do provide medications for addictions(Vivitrol, Campral, Chantix,Suboxone,Antabuse) as well as meds for mood disorders, my main goal of treatment is abstinence.
