WinGate is one of the premier wilderness therapy programs in the U.S. Our owner-operated wilderness treatment program is for troubled youth ages 13 to 17. Our life changing outdoor therapy provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment that offers hope and healing to families. WinGate Wilderness Therapy is licensed by the State of Utah as an Outdoor Therapeutic Program, and we are a member of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs. Our purpose is to lead the family back to a pathway of harmony and balance, replacing resistance with responsiveness. Expanse Wilderness, a branch of WinGate Wilderness Therapy, is one of the premier wilderness therapy programs in the U.S. We serve struggling young adults ages 18-28, offering an effective and life changing alternative to traditional treatment programs. As an owner-operated wilderness treatment program with over 30 years of wilderness success, Expanse Wilderness offers a unique therapeutic model centered primarily around talk therapy, which has proven to help young adults who struggle to find their way in a difficult world. At Expanse Wilderness, our students engage life in a way that brings about powerful change. Our outdoor therapy provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment that offers hope and healing. We are licensed by the State of Utah as an Outdoor Therapeutic Program and we are a member of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP).

We are here to teach others the importance of natural health. We provide articles, newsletters, videos, products, and more to educate the values of natural health and wellness.

Participants meet with a therapist on Mondays and Tuesdays. They hike Wednesday through Sunday. The base philosophy is the Arbinger Institute information which is call the Agentative Model. This is the philosophy under which the field part of the program operates. The therapy part of the program is directed by licensed therapist.
