Dr. Kirsti Reed is an experienced practitioner providing comprehensive care to each of her patients. Striking a balance with acupuncture and Chinese herbs is generally the most effective route in treating complicated issues such as: menopause, hypertension, infertility, digestive disorders, respiratory issues, menstrual complaints, etc. However, in the case of less complicated situations like acute trauma, ie; sprained ankle or uncomplicated low back pain, Dr. Reed can provide relief often immediately sometimes only using 1-5 needles. For those who are afraid of the needles but want to have the benefits of Chinese medicine Dr. Reed can use Acutonics, which is system of tuning forks, instead of needles. The Acutonics system is also wonderful for treating children, even babies.

Dar a Luz is dedicated to providing compassionate and holistic prenatal care, women's health services and a safe alternative to hospital birth for women and their families. Established in 2011, transformation has been a running theme. We stand with women as they enter motherhood. Each mother is offered compassionate and holistic prenatal care, labor, birth and postpartum services. This type of care allows women to become confident, empowered and nurturing mothers. At each step, we encourage the participation of family members, which in turn positively impacts the new family dynamic; this makes for a stronger community. Our work is transforming the perception of the midwifery model of care and out of hospital birth among the community. Working alongside our colleagues in hospitals, we have built invaluable partnerships as a bridge for our clients. The birth center is a constant buzz of activity with clinic visits, babies being born, classes and support groups. Everyone who comes to Dar a Luz is transformed and we are proud to be a part of it.
