Mark-It-Hot was developed by an electrician with 30 years experience. After working for over twenty years in the electrical field he decided to teach the electrical trade in a career-technical setting. Re-identifying conductors in the field could be a tedious job, but was easy compared to teaching the electrical trade to electrical writing students and asking them to use plastic tape. Conductors that are not properly re-identified are safety hazards, so there was a need to develop an easy method that students could and would use. The Mark-It-Hot Markers have prevented numerous accidents in the lab over the last 13 years.
