Introduction Air Draulic Engineering (also known as ADE) is a private, family owned and operated American company out of New England in a small town named Randolph, Massachusetts. The organization was founded by a Polish immigrant named Stephen Gulczynski along with his son Frank Gulczynski in 1950. ADE specializes in the production of conveyor systems for consumer product manufacturing. In addition, the organization designs and manufactures various types of solids handling and conveying products for different industries. These products include steel frames, stainless steel racks, cat walks and platforms, truck accessories, air ram cylinder snow plows, and a variety of other specialty parts. History In the late 1800’s a young couple of 18yrs old, Stephen and Laudi, emigrated from Poland into Ellis Island eventually planting their roots in Mattapan, MA. Stephen, or known to everyone as “Pop”, found work as a very successful blacksmith, eventually getting into the trucking industry and real estate. At the height of his success “Pop” started a family of four boys and one girl. By the 1930s the Great Depression had began to wipe out all the little ma and pa business’s including Stephen Gulczynski small empire he had worked so hard for. So to continue to provide for his family, Pop started working as a contract worker, providing handyman services in and around the city of Randolph, MA. He noticed that there was an immense difficulty in removing the heavy snowfall that fell during the harsh winter seasons in the North East in New England. Gulczynski realized that the plow trucks that were used to remove the snow did not have the appropriate power source and/or support to get the job done quickly or efficiently to keep the streets clean. This obstacle encouraged and intrigued him to design, invent and implement the Air Ram Cylinder in 1937. He began selling the product to city and contract workers who used plow trucks, while continuing to do odd jobs around the city on the side. By the late 1940s, news of his invention had spread and Mr. Gulczynski’s Air Ram Cylinder was being bought for many projects around New England. The success of the product prompted him to establish Air Draulic Engineering. With this new business venture he took the help of his youngest son, Frank Gulczynski, and from there they started Air Draulic Engineering, turning their garage at home into a suitable work shop.
