River City Steel Company was founded in 1999 by Mike Stout and Jeff Babb. Starting in a small office in Fenton, MO, they grew the business and purchased an office and a 25,000 sq. foot warehouse in Truesdale, MO in 2000. At that time, River City Steel was primarily in the secondary square, rectangular and round tubing lines. With the new warehouse, also came a new saw and with it, expanding capabilities in cutting increased our market share and visibility. 2004 saw major investments in a 20 acre pipe yard, another 62,000 sq. feet of warehouse space and increasing our product lines to include prime pipe and tubing, hot-finish and cold drawn tubing and also DOM. The new product line needed a new name and River City Specialty Tube began operation. 2006 started by opening a 35,000 sq. foot facility in Camdenton, MO on 5 acres, where most of our River City Specialty Tube items are housed. Another location was opened in Liberty, TX in 2010, where we expanded into the OCTG market with a 10 acre pipe yard and our newest company, Ricochet Pipe. We now have over 140,000 sq. feet of warehouse space, over 30 acres of pipe yards and 10 production saws. In just a few short years, through hard work and exceptional customer care, we have had tremendous growth.
