Nurtured by Nature offers one-of-a-kind Otter Swim and Animal Encounters in San Diego CA. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization providing once in a lifetime experiences to those looking for adventure! During the two to three hour program you will be able to touch, feed, and interact with several small exotic animals for the first half and then swim and play with Asian Small Clawed Otters in the heated pool for the second half! Nurtured By Nature targets children in need of a little joy through out the Southern California area. You'll also have an opportunity to meet, feed and directly interact with a variety of other incredible creatures such as a kangaroo, sloth, armadillo, porcupine, African ground hornbill and more. This is a wildlife experience like no other that puts you right in the center of the action with exotic creatures. You'll take home a permanent grin and memories to last a whole lifetime.

Volunteers learn to work with horses and how to care for them properly. Ranch visits are by appointment only. We are funded by private donations. Sanctuary special needs animals include horses, steer, sheep, dogs and cats. All depend on your donations or sponsorship.. Dr. Richard Miller, DVM hosts equine dental clinics at our ranch at reduced fees to help out horses in need. These clinics are open to the public. We offer educational tours to groups for a donation. Corporations wishing find team building projects, please contact us. We need shelters and corrals built before winter and have year around improvment projects available. Together we can help animals.
