Where we stand on the Issues The church of Jesus Christ has always faced issues requiring that it take a stand. Among many, Riverside Baptist Church considers the following issues to require a positional statement. 1. The Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and has been preserved infallible for the English-speaking world in what is commonly called "The Authorized Version of the King James' Bible." 2. Riverside Baptist Church is an independent and "fundamental" Baptist church. By independent is meant that the church holds no membership in any organization, ecclesiastical denomination, ecumenical council, church convention or fellowship. The church is free of outside control. The church is "fundamental" in that it believes that the Bible is basic, primary, foundational, i.e.
