The Friends of the Withlacoochee gulf Preserve, Inc (FWGP) is a non-profit organizations consisting of volunteers to provide aid in planning & maintenance of a 413 acre preserve located in and owned by the Town of Yankeetown, FL. The FWGP recruit volunteers, raise funds through grants & public activities and events. The preserve is an environmental treasure which displays Florida at its natural best. The property has natural uplands, wetlands, and salt water ponds. Trails take you on scenic walks. A 30-ft observation tower offers a 360 degree view of the saltwater marsh and Gulf of Mexico. Funds are being raised to convert an existing home into the Ellie Schiller Educaiton Center. Come and Enjoy our Views!
