PACAW, Inc. was founded in 2007 by Dr. Sylvanus A. Ayeni. Our Mission is to nurture a generation of African leaders through the vehicle of access to a DIFFERENT EDUCATION CULTURE AT THE BASIC LEVEL. A type of education that focuses on turning the gaze of the children away from avarice, selfishness and obsession with accumulation of material wealth, and prepares them for leadership that embraces living for a higher purpose. LEADERSHIP THAT WILL CHAMPION THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA BY AFRICANS RATHER THAN CHRONIC DEPENDENCE ON HAND OUTS FROM ACROSS THE OCEAN. Currently we are active in a primary school in one of the most underserved villages in Nigeria. We have renovated a dilapidated school building, provided textbooks, built toilet facilities, and have been paying the salary of two teachers since 2007. We teach civics lessons. Our programs are community based and community driven, with major participation by the Parent Teacher Association and the community leaders. THE SCHOOL HAS NO LIBRARY. Our PROJECTS now are: 1.Building a library, furnish the library with furniture and books including e-books, and hire a librarian. 2. Hire teachers to meet the required numbers of teachers for the school. 3. Strengthen the civics lesson and leadership education program. 4.
