The Community Drug Coalition (CDC) of Lea County seeks to reclaim the community from substance abuse, with a primary focus on the reduction of youth substance use. The CDC will achieve this by the following: Empowering youth and caretakers to live healthy lifestyles by providing anti-drug educational programming. Addressing the use and abuse of legal substances, both short and long term, by supporting law enforcement, schools, and local businesses. Addressing the environment and atmosphere that enables youth and other segments of the population to indulge and participate in illegal substance abuse by creating partnership initiatives to combat contributing risk/behavioral factors. Ensuring the development and maintenance of effective treatment systems for all segments of the population while identifying gaps in services. Improving the safety and health of citizens of Lea County.

Our church is a friendly group of Christians that have found and treasure a common bond: salvation in Jesus The Christ. We are not perfect, nor do we pretend to be. In fact, we realize we need each other to help each other to live for Jesus and to live for Heaven. God is the Creator, Sustainer and Ruler of the universe (Genesis 1:1-31). Mankind is created in the image and likeness of God but has been separated from God by sin (Romans 3:23). Acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is God’s only plan of Salvation (John 8:24). Jesus is our substitute. He became: (Romans 5:8) Sin so that we could be made righteous. A curse so that we could be redeemed. Sick so that we could be healed. Poor so that we could be made rich. Jesus conquered the grave, resurrected and ascended to Heaven reigning forever (Acts 5:30-31) Jesus has established His reign and church forever (Ephesians 1:19-21) Water baptism is a declaration of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus in our life (Romans 6:3-6). As a commitment of our faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord.
