Incorporated as not-for-profit in New York. Dedicated to dignity, economy, simplicity in funerals. We are an education and consumer advocacy organization run democratically by our members and an all-volunteer board. We are not affiliated with the funeral industry or any religious groups. We educate the public on their rights and options when planning for or purchasing funeral goods and services, and for earth-friendly burial and human body disposition practices. We encourage people to plan arrangements that are in keeping with their personal wishes and budget, and then share that information with their families and close associates.
