Education and Professional Experience I have a Master of Science in Counselor Education specializing in Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling from Portland State University. During my degree program, I spent a year working with families struggling with chemical dependency at DePaul Treatment Centers in Portland, Oregon. I am also a certified provider of the Circle of Security Parenting classes and have been teaching them since 2010. My passion for working with families really grew from my previous professional experiences working as a teacher and as a social service worker with Head Start. Through this experience, I learned the value of communication and how challenges within the family affect each person differently.
