We train young basketball players not only on the court but in the class room along with lessons on life. Our goal is to prepare these young players for the world today and tomorrow. We don't lose sight of the academic aspect that should be apart of every AAU program.

As a pre-licensed intern, my goal is to empower you to make positive changes. I work under the supervision of Dr. Angela Waggoner as I complete full licensing requirements in Virginia and Texas. I earned a Master’s degree from Liberty University in 2008, and I earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southampton. I am currently in a degree program to update coursework and meet licensing requirements. I am certified in mindfulness-based stress reduction and certified clinical trauma professional. I have a great deal of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in crisis. I utilize trauma-informed care as I teach mindfulness techniques for emotional regulation to help manage anxiety, depression, anger, and other difficulties. I have completed Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and I use this in my work.
