CAWS, Inc. is a business that is dedicated to assisting seniors. We assist low income seniors through the Senior Community Service Employment Program or SCSEP/Title V under the OAA of 1965. This program provides employment and training for seniors in order to assist them in gaining the marketable work skills to compete for jobs and re-enter the workplace. CAWS also works with assisting seniors who have special needs by collaborating and partnering with other organizations and businesses that meet those needs. CAWS is currently located in the VA Workforce Center in Halifax County and in Blackstone. We have two employees, one intern and six paid trainees. CAWS, Inc. is currently the subcontractor for the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), which is contracted by the SCWIB.
