About Us Since 1927 the Heart of The Valley Chamber of Commerce has been contributing to the economic success of our local communities. It is a membership based organization of people who know the wisdom of coordinating their efforts under effective leadership advancement and development of the area. It enables members to accomplish collectively what none could do individually. The Heart of the Valley is strategically located in Northeastern Wisconsin on both sides of the Fox River. Geographically it is located between the two larger communities of Green Bay and Appleton. The communities of the Heart of The Valley are Buchanan, Combined Locks, Darboy, Freedom, Harrison, Hollandtown, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Little Chute, Sherwood and Wrightstown. Many of our members also come from other Northeast Wisconsin Communities like Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, Green Bay and DePere. We welcome all businesses who do business in Northeast Wisconsin. MEET PASTOR JAN From farmland, to God’s land Finding Her Way Pastor Jan grew up on a farm in rural Wisconsin with eight siblings. Although she attended church every Sunday with her family, she never connected with God or understood how the Bible related to her everyday life. She came to understand church to be a weekly obligation that resulted in a ticket to heaven. Pastor Jan, a mother of three young children and by her mid twenties, was a heavy smoker, an alcoholic, and suffered from recurrent nervous breakdowns. At 34 years old, Pastor Jan reached a turning point in her life when she first heard of God as being a wonderful and loving Father. She felt God was a mean, disconnected, and scornful God, who was always ready to punish sin and bad behavior. The message of a loving and caring God moved her and without really knowing what she was doing, Pastor Jan followed the
