Our Reach- We've been part of the community since 1928, when 10 innovative and forward-thinking business leaders established the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation to encourage "public spirited citizens" to invest in the future of Oshkosh. More than 80 years later, we are sustaining and expanding our founders' vision to create a legacy that will benefit Winnebago County, Waushara County, Green Lake County and Ripon, now and for generations to come. Community Philanthropy- Community foundations make up one of the fastest growing sectors of philanthropy in the United States today. Community Foundations build and strengthen communities by making it possible for a wide range of donors to participate in creating permanent endowment funds to meet present and future needs. Community foundations have become catalysts for improvement by promoting philanthropy that is visionary, diverse and inclusive. Community foundations are a sustainable aspect of philanthropy - providing leadership and problem solving in the present and preparing for the future with a permanent endowment. The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation is one of 22 Wisconsin community foundations and nearly 700 national community foundations.

Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, founded in 1917, proclaims the gospel in Word and Sacrament to our community in Oshkosh. We also operate a Lutheran elementary and middle school, with part-day education for Pre-Kindergarten (ages 3-4) and full-day education for Kindergarten through Grade 8. Secondary education is available at Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac and Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton. Martin Luther is a congregation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
