A Cut Above the Rest Training Facility (CARTF) will be a non-profit organization being developed to provide tuition free heavy equipment, commercial lawn equipment training, life skills and employability training to ex-felons upon their release back into society. In addition, it will offer support services as the participants move from prison into independent, self-sufficient lifestyles and will assist participants with job placement upon completion of their training with follow-up for three months. Initially, the project's participants will be reentry ex-felons but due to requests from interested community agencies other high risk populations will be served through the training facility.
