CAPED Specialists “Giving every EXCEPTIONAL child the chance to soar” California Adapted Physical Education & Dance Specialists (CAPED Specialists) provides Adapted Physical Education Specialists to public schools in San Mateo County. Our Adapted Physical Education Specialists offer students ages 3-22 years curriculum that is adapted to meet the unique needs of students with special needs thus keeping school districts in compliance with Public Law 94-142.1 Additionally, CAPED Specialists provides professional development services for both Adapted Physical Education Specialists and General Physical Education teachers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. These professional development services include workshops, seminars and team building experiences, geared at promoting inclusion of students with special needs within the General Physical Education classroom. Lastly, CAPED Specialists provides summer camps for students with special needs in the San Francisco Bay Area. The focus of these summer camps will be on introducing students with special needs to a myriad of sports and dance education. The goal is to help students maintain and even improve the psychomotor progress made through the school year.
