The Developmental Center for Maryland's Educational Culture, Inc., (DCMEC) is a non-for-profit organization located in Prince George's County whos overall mission is to increase the enrollment and retention of low-income eligible students from disadvantaged backgrounds in programs of postsecondary education.The Center supports projects designed to provide program participants the skills and motivation necessary to complete a program of secondary education and to enter and succeed in a program of postsecondary education. In addition, the Center offers services to improve the financial and economic literacy of participants to include: education and counseling services; advice and assistance in secondary and postsecondary course selection; academic tutoring; and financial aid.
