The Able Academy of Special Education provides effective educational programs to students with moderate to severe characteristics of autism. We provide intensive individualized instruction to children with autism to develop functional communication, social, motor, academic, and self-care skills, while decreasing problematic behaviors that interfere with learning. We utilize evidence-based practices drawn from the field of applied behavior analysis, with an emphasis on Skinner’s analysis of verbal behavior. Special attention is given to the factors that motivate each student to learn.
