Otter Creek Township is located 75 miles west of Indianapolis along US-41 in North central Vigo County. Originally, this township had three separate fire departments. However, in 2011, the three local departments were joined together as one to form Otter Creek Fire Department for more efficient protection of the township's residents. OCFD provides Fire, Rescue and First Responder Medical protection to nearly 10,000 residents and 36 square miles. OUR MISSION STATEMENT The Otter Creek Fire Department is organized to save lives and protect property. We shall endeavor to provide timely emergency medical services and effective fire suppression, rescue, public fire education and other activities as deemed in the best interest of the department and the citizens of our community
