We are a volunteer based department. We have a full time day time firefighter to offset working hours of our volunteers. We operated under a Commission of residents appointed by the County Board of Supervisors. Our service area consists generally of north of Black Creek to the Oak Grove/ Lincoln Roads area. And from the Forrest County line to a creek that runs between Burnt Bridge Road and MS HWY 589. We have two stations, 3 Class A engines, 2 of which serve as multi-hazard response apparatus. We have 2 water tankers carrying over 3,000 gallons each. We have two small general purpose rescue trucks. IF you wish to help your fellow citizens by volunteering. We have training meetings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at our primary station on Old HWY 24 in the evening starting at 7pm. We do require you to be a minimum of 21 in order to drive. Otherwise all other task area available for those interested.
