Cabinet View Fire Service Area comprises a swath of wildland urban interface, south of the township of Libby, Montana that is over 9,000 acres and over 14 square miles. There are over 250 households in our area, 12 businesses, almost 2,000 residents, a State of Montana fish hatchery (a complete residency-compound), A Forest Service Regional helibase (rappel-certified), a City/County municipal airport, a major State Highway transecting it, and most unique - a community-within-community. There is an Amish community of over 900 acres and over 30 homes within our Fire Service Area. This community has a community center, a full-service Country Store (for general public as well as community members), and a school for all grades, with about 25 school kids attending.
