Established in 1954, Kemah Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD) is a combination fire department with both paid and volunteer members. We provide fire suppression and rescue services that include the following: HazMat, medical first responder, medical transport capable of BLS-ALS, marine fire rescue. Our Fire Marshal's Office provides fire education, fire prevention and code enforcement for the area. KFD is located on the south side of Clear Creek Channel, which connects Clear Lake with Galveston Bay, and is twenty-five miles northwest of Galveston.
