Alcoholism and addiction continue to grow within the female population. There are very few facilities that focus on assisting women to achieve and maintain sobriety. Avenues 12 Women's Recovery House is such a place, established to fill the transitional gap between detox or treatment centers and living in the "real world". Although the success rate is low and this gap is difficult to navigate alone, the women who have already completed their program at Avenues 12 have enjoyed an above average success rate. Avenues 12 is that bridge, providing the support and resources necessary for these women to create a new life and become functioning members of society.
We are a non-profit 501©3 organization, 12-Step based housing for women.
Our supportive setting provides a foundation for women to gain personal growth and develop a clean and sober lifestyle. Women learn how to remain accountable and responsible, how to communicate, follow-through with commitments, and most importantly, how to live in recovery
.
We have three levels of housing available. All women enter our "Newcomer House" and then progress to the "Advanced House". Our newly opened Sober Living Apartments are the final step up for the women of Avenues 12.
We are a member of FARR (Florida Association of Recovery Residences) and an associate member of FADAA (Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association)
