The Madinah Food Pantry was started in the spring of 2011 because there is a tremendous need for food pantries specifically designed to meet the needs of Muslim families. Recent statistics from the Department of Agriculture have revealed that as a result of the economic downturn or loss of income of families in America many are finding it more and more difficult to provide sufficient food to feed their families. After living in Northeast Georgia for over 20 years and having the opportunity to live around Muslims and visit Muslims in other areas the idea for starting a food pantry seemed very relevant since there are currently no food pantries in the Northeast Georgia area specifically intended to assist those Muslim families with the exception of Madinah Food Pantry. We serve Muslim families in metro Atlanta and Northeast Georgia as well as serve dinner as hosts at homeless shelters in metro Atlanta each month.

The Kireon Douglas Aiken Foundation, Inc (The KDAF Inc) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The K.D.A.F. Inc was formed to provide a unique blend of services to women hospitalized due to a high-risk pregnancy. Our intention is to fulfill some of their essential needs during their hospital stay. By us helping these mothers continue some of the normal behavior patterns, our programs will give them a sense of productivity during idled time, while decreasing their levels of stress.
