I dreamed of a way to give back to my community and yet remain self sufficient. We have tweaked our non profit to be a charity driven thrift store, to be able to sustain without taking from our budget privately anymore, since we have been since oct of 2009.. Hoping to realize our goal of becoming self funded and trying and exhausting every known possibility we have chosen to give affordable gently used clothing, shoes, etc. to everyone, most items under $5, all proceeds from the thrift goes directly to pay rent, utillities, overhead, budget to buy sizes not donated on a regular basis, our sales give sales tax back to the city and any access monies goes back into our community to help other non profits, charities in our area.
