Handbags of Hope know most women run a small world from their bags. Our handbags are gifted to women who have run in the night with only her childrem. Teens aging out of foster care and women in our community. We ask women to tale a gently used handbag and fill it with our 10 requested items. wallet, hairbrush, manicure set, calendar, lip balm, tissues and travel size toiletries. Add a personal note of encouragement. Our bags are delivered across the State 29 shelters in all. We are 100 % volunteer operated with no one receiving compensation. Our budget is $ 15,000 a year and we will struggle to keep the doors open in 2011. After our holiday deliveries we've gifted 2800 purses in 2010.
