The Burn Center staff has a significant outreach program to all hospitals within the county to work with their staff in helping them to appropriately evaluate and care for burns that may come to their facilities. The program also teaches them the importance of transferring a burn patient to a burn center which has significantly more resources to care for the patient. TIME IS TISSUE and advanced burn care can make a difference in out come. Two years ago, the Fund began to sponsor a burn victim to attend a burn camp for children. We provide transportation and family support. Some of the burn center staff volunteer at the camp during its operation.
