We are located in the Center for Community Health in Vancouver, Washington and are one of only a few non-hospital based intensive inpatient treatment services for adults in the Portland Metropolitan area, and the only one in Southwest Washington.

The M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust provides grants and enrichment programs that benefit the communities of the Pacific Northwest. With more than $1.2 billion in assets, the organization primarily supports nonprofit groups and focuses on the areas of education, scientific research, health and human services, and arts and culture. The Murdock Trust operates with a mission of serving the individuals, families, and communities of the region, particularly those experiencing challenges such as homelessness, food insecurity, and lack of access to medical and mental health care. Based in Vancouver, Washington, the Trust was established in 1975 on behalf of the late Tektronix co-founder Melvin Jack Murdock. He left instructions for the creation of the Trust in his will with the intention of enriching the quality of life for people in Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, Montana, and Washington. His will identified three original trustees, and starting assets amounted to approximately $91 million. Since its inception, the Trust has distributed more than 6,000 grants to over 3,000 organizations.

From its humble beginnings as a youth leadership conference in 2011, LLNW has blossomed into a transformative force, offering multigenerational leadership programs, culturally specific engagement activities, and pathways to post-secondary and technical career opportunities. Our robust partnerships with culturally specific organizations, deep-rooted relationships with K-12 systems, higher education institutions, government agencies, rural communities, and workforce systems, place us at the forefront of this transformative work.
