Like all things awesome, RAGGEDedge started as an idea in the mind of a smart and motivated individual. That was 13 years ago, sometime in the middle of 1997. Originally, the idea was simply to make useful stuff out of the pile of old sails we seemed to be collecting. Over the years, our materials, designs, and aesthetics have evolved immensely. Eventually, we learned to work with new sailcloth laminates made from woven hi-tech fibers. Now we tend to focus even more specifically on Carbon Fiber and Kevlar, because we've come to realize the practical awesomeness of their well-known super powers.
