KinderSpeak offers comprehensive services in a variety of settings to meet the individual needs of children and families. This can include school-based services, home-based services, or services delivered at my home-office. Specific areas commonly addressed by speech-language pathologists include: Delayed acquisition of speech or language skills Disorders of speech articulation Fluency or stuttering Oral-motor disorders such as dysarthria, apraxia, & tongue thrust Pragmatic/social language skills Phonemic awareness skills (pre-reading) Expressive/receptive language Weaknesses in speech or language skills directly impact one???s ability to communicate, however, these weaknesses can also have a negative effect on an individual's self-esteem, social functioning, and success in school.
