In 1987, the Durham Merchant's Association sold the agency to Wayne Campbell and used the proceeds to establish the Durham Merchant's Association Charitable Foundation.
Since being taken over by Campbell, Credit Financial Services has continued to grow and turned 100 years old in 2006.
