WGA takes architecture, landscape and urban design seriously, studying the best that's been done to find the fundamental underpinnings that make projects work. We appreciate context, your personality and your brand, and seek to exemplify and/or amplify what makes you/your business/your town successful. To some, the work is full of subtlety and nuance, to others a totally fresh breath of air, but what it does not use as its starting point is whatever is trending at the moment. Rather, the work is meant to be sustainable. It is built to last, to be flexible and accepting of change without significant expense; i.e., it is built with long-term value in mind. Our clients are looking for refinement over aggrandizement, and find what they are looking for is not in the marketplace.

We work through all stages of the design and building process. Services include residential additions and remodels, custom new homes, commercial build outs, renovations, and feasibility studies. We are committed to green building design and sustainable construction in all phases of our projects. Brigitte Steines, principal of steines architecture, lives and works in Lexington, Massachusetts. Prior to New England she spent almost 10 years in the San Francisco Bay area practicing residential architecture, and pursuing commercial projects. Originally from Berlin, Germany, she held the position of project manager at an internationally operating A/E consulting firm, working on large scale urban design and architectural projects.
