I have been designing custom homes since 1993. I started THPD, LLC in 2003 in my hometown in Ashe County, located in the beautiful blue ridge mountains of northwestern North Carolina. I specialize in new custom home designs but I also provide designs for additions & renovations. I can create house plans for a variety of construction methods including: stick-built, pre-engineered trusses, timber frames, log homes, structural insulated panels (SIPS) for both roof & wall construction, and foundation walls with Superior Walls, ICF & traditional CMU walls and more. I work with clients all over the United States who are looking to move to North Carolina. And because we are located in the mountains of NC, I am experienced with designs having to deal with challenging terrain and high winds that are frequent here in the high country.
