I have designed custom homes and a variety of buildings and living space features in the NW since 1976, in Eugene, OR since 1990, and as Great House Design since 1998. I have worked with dozens of contractors to provide professional results for satisfied clients. In addition to designing traditional "stick-built" custom homes and structures, I also specialize in the extremely green ICF (Insulating Concrete Forms) building block system, which far exceeds traditional wood frame construction for durability, energy efficiency and sound control with many other advantages at a comparable cost. I provide detailed CAD (computer-aided drafting) plans, guaranteed code-compliant, builder-friendly and delivered in a timely manner. I coordinate all necessary professional structural engineering, site issue resolution, roof truss engineering, working closely with city and county building permit staff and contractors as necessary. I enjoy co-designing with my clients and gladly incorporate any and all revisions you may want.
