The year was 2008. David Brown had been running his company, Top SEO Consultants, for several years. He had many great clients over that time, and was really happy with doing SEO Consulting. He also started doing a talk show called SEO 101 that became one of the top sources of SEO information on the web, but he knew there was much more potential if he could just partner with the right person his business could grow exponentially. About that time, Brian Mark, his co-host on SEO 101, was starting to grow restless after being a developer and marketer for an Internet Retailer Top 500 company for 10 years, and talks started up about forming a company together. It didn't take long to realize the synergy the two had, and shortly after Shade Tree Marketing was born.
