Ascalon Studios is a multifaceted boutique art and design firm specializing in the creation of innovative site-specific artworks, design elements, stained glass windows, mosaic murals, sculpture, and donor recognition projects for worship, public, institutional, and hospitality environments throughout North America. Ascalon Studios operates under the direction of its principal, the noted artist / designer David Ascalon, an architecture and design graduate of New York's Pratt Institute. Under his direct supervision, Ascalon's concepts are translated into finished works of art on a grand scale by the studio's in-house staff of talented artisans. Undertaking commissions for clients from coast-to-coast, the studio operates out of a New Jersey facility located on two wooded acres on the outskirts of the greater Philadelphia area. With departments specializing in donor recognition, stained glass/architectural glass art, sculpture, and sanctuary /chapel and synagogue design, Ascalon Studios works closely with each client through a collaborative process to create truly unique and innovative projects that meet the aesthetic needs of the architecture, and the practical needs and sensibilities of the commissioning organization. Projects include: STAINED GLASS & ARCHITECTURAL GLASS ART including stained glass windows, carved glass, fused glass, mosaics & fired ceramic murals; DONOR RECOGNITION PROJECTS including innovative donor walls, mission statement & history displays, memorial walls, award presentations, and signage; SCULPTURE, MONUMENTS & MEMORIALS in a range of materials and artistic media; and COMPREHENSIVE SANCTUARY/CHAPEL DESIGN including the creation of artwork, specialty furnishings, and decorative and functional elements for worship and contemplative spaces.
