THE FAMILY STORY RainSoft of NE Iowa is a family owned distributor of RainSoft water treatment and air purification equipment. Our business was founded in 1981, by the current president, Terry Bonik with only a 500 square foot office and two employees. Terry started with four years of RainSoft sales and sales management experience. Rachel Faust, current vice president, became a partner with Terry Bonik in 2008. We are proud of our products, customer service, and employees, which has led us to over 20,000 customers in NE Iowa. RainSoft of NE Iowa’s goal is to provide what water was meant to be with the best customer service humanly possible. Our business has received numerous awards over the years, such as the “John Grayson Customer Satisfaction Award” every year it has been available, as well as Excellence in Customer Service Experience repeatedly over the past years. RainSoft of NE Iowa also has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and excellent ratings all over the internet. The History of Rainsoft of NE Iowa 1977 - The Introduction to RainSoft Terry Bonik was introduced to the world of RainSoft in St. Cloud, MN in 1977. He purchased his first RainSoft system for his home. Six short months later Terry started working at a RainSoft dealership in St. Cloud, MN. 1980 - The Move to Iowa Terry decided to relocate to Oelwein, Iowa. He started working at a RainSoft dealership in Cedar Rapids, IA as a sales manager. 1981 - A Company is Born Terry opened RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc. in 1981 located in Oelwein, IA. 2006 - Company Growth and Change RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc expands and builds a brand new 6,120 square foot building in Waterloo, Iowa. With the new location RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc. becomes known as RainSoft of NE Iowa. 2008 - The New Generation Terry Bonik, the president, welcomes Rachel Faust as the new vice president of RainSoft of NE Iowa. 2016 - Still Growing RainSoft of NE Iowa expands their service area now including Jackson, Clinton, Scott, and Muscatine counties.
