Michael Doven has over 20 years of experience in the film industry, working with some of the most talented cinematographers and directors of photography in the world. This has done nothing less than inspire him and reignite his passion for producing beautiful, quality images with his favorite weapon - his camera. In 1997 he received a degree in photography at the New York Institute of Photography. He currently owns United Pictures Group in which he spends time producing films. But when he isn't at the movie studio, he is in the studio of his own, his photo studio. His knowledge of the medium and his unique eye for creating stunning images define his photography. You can see the incredible use of light, shadow, foreground and background to produce stunning images without color. A lot of the images are sensual, mysterious, or romantic - all while being incredibly beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Another one of his specialties consists of rich and colorful imagery. Under the section "color" on his website, you will see images with so much more than simply color. It's clear that his knowledge of the medium and color spectrum are exquisite. Not only are the images aesthetically beautiful, the art behind the images is very apparent. He features a great mix of individuals, families, couples, all in very interesting and unique poses and locations. Michael has a ton of fun with his clients, as many of the pictures feature natural poses and smiles - something that drives him to continue with his photography career despite having other career goals and a family.
