In 2008, Jessica Lloyd started a daycare with 1 employee and 3 students. After 12 years, Jessica and her son Steve had a vision for the future: they recognized the need to create more outdoor learning experiences for children. This inspired the creation of Rocky Mountain Preschool, a family-owned early education program designed to provide important outdoor experiences to children in a safe and nurturing environment. Ore early memories instilled in us a passion for giving children the chance to learn outdoors. Children are active learners. They acquire knowledge by doing. There is more to do outdoors – more space, more sensory materials, more unpredictability, and more open-ended tasks in which the outcomes haven’t been predetermined by adult planners. Cottonwood Christian Child Care Center is a family based company that specializes in relationship-based care with emphasis on learning through play. Our fun and loving staff have undergone background checks to ensure a safe family environment. Many of our instructors have been with us for more than 10 years and our staff continuously receives updated education. In addition to busing children to local schools we also offer a private Kindergarten program and have small class sizes. We serve well-balanced meals and snacks and have a great, safe, and supervised playground facility. We have 3, 4, and 5 day plans including before and after school programs. We also offer discounts for siblings of full time students. We have immediate openings, but space is limited.
