The Lane Child and Family Center is a state licensed preschool/child care program serving families on Lane's main campus. The program is the only Lane County Child Care Center accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and rated 5 stars by Oregon's Quality Rating and Improvement System. The Center is a teacher preparation school and parent cooperative. We provide opportunities for children to explore, discover and experiment with a wide variety of materials in a safe and emotionally responsive environment. Teachers respect each child's unique needs and allow development at his or her own pace. We encourage positive parent-child interaction, parent involvement and consistent care between school and home. The program provides financial assistance to help reduce the child care fees for those who are eligible.

We offer an Early Childhood Curriculum that provides enrichment opportunities to the children based on their age, interests and skill levels. Children are introduced Spanish as a Second language through our daily routine. Our believe is that each child is unique and they growth and learn at their own pace. We recognize the importance of the early childhood years and the positive influence of a quality childcare program during this period. Children need to feel loved, respected, accepted, valued and supported in a learning environment with trained caregivers. We provide free meals and DHS families are welcome

We guarantee your child will get a jump start at Kindergarten and they will be able to read 1st Grade level as a Kindergartner. Age appropriate learning activities daily - MATH, READING PROGRAM, SCIENCE PROJECTS, PAINTING, ARTS AND CRAFTS. Great outdoor play area where children can enjoy sand and safe water play, swing sets, play houses and climbing structures. We believe children need good nutrition in order for them to grow healthy. That is why we carefully select food that does not have any food coloring(a cause of cancer, behavioral problems and other health-related issues), no hydrogenated oils(a main cause of heart problems even for children) and no highly processed foods.
