Hurricane Katrina passed Southeast of New Orleans in 2005 with frequent intense gusts and tidal surge. The failure of the levee system caused extensive flooding in New Orleans and surrounding Parishes and resulted in extensive water damage to nearly 80% of all structures in Orleans Parish. Since then, rebuilding has been an ongoing recovery process. Silas Caldeira, Founder of Sand’N Soil™ and father of two children, bought his first dump truck and a skid steer in 2006 and started a Demolition and Hauling Company. With high demand of landscape and aggregates products delivery in the construction industry and the growth of E-commerce. Sand’N Soil™ was conceived with the purpose to provide a better way for Residential, Commercial and Industrial Customers to search and buy landscape and construction aggregates online. After years of researching, Sand’N Soil™ was launched in late March, 2015 and improved the way they sell and delivery landscape and aggregate products.
