Our Founder and CEO, Derek Bell, started Bell Freight Services, Inc. after serving for almost nine years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Logistics and Transportation Chief. While in the Marine Corps, Derek was in charge of coordinating the transportation of his units freight. He did this, not only for training exercises in the US, but also for the equipment taken overseas on his combat deployments. While transporting his units equipment, he would consistently become frustrated with the freight brokers contracted and knew he could provide a better service.
