K&R Transportation Service, LLC was started in late 2010 due to a need in Ross, Pike and Pickaway counties (Ohio) for reliable, comfortable transportation to/from Port Columbus International Airport & Rickenbacker Airport in Columbus, OH. In 2013 we also started airport transportation to/from the Dayton International Airport in Dayton (Vandalia), OH. In late 2011 we started providing transportation to/from medical appointments as specified on our home page to residents of Ross, Pike and Pickaway counties (Ohio). We provide this transportation service to/from Chillicothe, Circleville, Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Jackson, Portsmouth and Waverly, OH. In 2012 we started offering transportation to/from Greyhound Bus Terminals in Columbus, Jackson, Peebles and Piketon, Ohio. In 2013 we started offering small package Courier Service. We are fully licensed and insured and meet all Local, State of Ohio and Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) Intrastate and Interstate Transportation licensing requirements, registration and permits and Federal Motor Carrier Operating Authority Number. Our driver has a CDL license and is a part-time contract driver for the Veterans Services Department and has 54 years of driving experience. Before traveling with just any transportation provider, be sure to find out if they are fully covered, licensed with the State of Ohio and registered with PUCO (Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and have a separate permit to operate at each airport in Ohio. It's the law in Ohio that any passenger motor carrier, no matter the size or type of vehicle, must carry $1.5 Million Liability Insurance, be registered with PUCO ((Public Utilities Commission of Ohio) and as of 2014 must also have a US DOT Number or Motor Carrier Operating Authority Number and both the PUCO and DOT Number or MCOA Number must be displayed prominently on the exterior of their vehicles. This protects you and the transportation company in the case of an accident.
