Western New York Produce, Inc. (Western NY Produce) is a local, family owned and operated wholesale food distributor. We are a premier supplier that is well known for high-quality produce, on-time delivery, and competitive prices, including innovative ideas to lower product costs. We have long-term relationships with local farmers and growers from the East and West coast, which assures we deliver the best and freshest produce to our customers. We have access to products from suppliers that are USDA and FDA approved. Western NY Produce is listed in the Blue Book with a 3x rating. We provide our produce to restaurants, hotels, schools, recreational facilities, hospitals, assisted living homes, correctional facilities, and many other institutions in the Western New York area. Western NY Produce offers ordering services via phone, fax, e-mail, and online 24/7 and delivery services 6 days a week (and 7 days a week for high-volume accounts). Western NY Produce is noted for its warmth, personal service, and ability to understand our customers’ needs, including our accommodating service hours: Monday to Saturday from 5:00 a.m.to 2:00 p.m. Any order placed before 3:00 a.m. assures an "on-time" delivery the same day. We also have an emergency delivery for orders that must be delivered in less than 3 hours. We operate our own delivery service. Our company was created in January of 2000 by three brothers: Dave Bohme, Rick Bohme, and Mike Cannan, the first generation owners. Each brother manages a different area of the company. Mike, the oldest brother, has over 30 years of experience managing large-volume accounts, such as supermarkets and chain restaurants; he is also experienced as a produce broker. Western NY Produce has a 10,000 square foot, temperature-controlled distribution center, the center is located at the Public Market in Rochester, NY; this market was voted the Best Farmer’s Market in the U.S. by voters from across the country. The company owns a fleet of 3 delivery trucks. Fifteen full-time and part-time employees provide retail and distribution services six days a week. We employ three sales representatives, including a bilingual Specialist (English/Spanish). The majority of our sales are attributed to fresh produce. However, not only do we supply customers with dairy products, frozen foods, ethnic foods, specialty foods, canned and dry goods, but we also sell a variety of supplies used in food service, such as napkins, and to-go containers.
