We consider ourselves "Boot Strap" Entrepreneurs. We spent a great deal of time looking for a way to enter a market and provide valuable services. Rather than try to convince investors with big pockets to fund us, or take out a large bank loan for start-up capital, we decided to build our business from the ground up. That is why we like to refer to ourselves as "boot strap" entrepreneurs.
