Before coming to America, Jess and Justin were living in different cities in China following different life paths. But they both liked travelling and believed world is a book and those who do not travel only read one page. For their love ones, they both came to America and became friends with common interests for travelling and folk crafts. They observed that most of American has very little knowledge for Chinese art, especial ethnic crafts although they are much more linked to each other nowadays with internet. They decided to do something and then Silkroad Handicrafts was born. By working with workshop-based artisans, J&J hope to offer extraordinary handicrafts from the places they visited with reasonable prices to promote Chinese culture.
