H/D was founded to exhibit paintings and photography at not cost to artists and providing a free community event for citizens of Taunton and surrounding communities. Artists from Rhode Island such as Providence, Cranston, Coventry, as far away as Washington DC have had works on display and have been featured in gallery exhibits. Artists are given the opportunity to show their works without cost as opposed to other "for profit" galleries. We do not judge or evaluate art, but encourage artists to sell their works at affordable/reasonable prices. The gallery director, Mr. Hughes assist artists in setting prices. The Taunton Daily Gazette announces the gallery's exhibit as a community event listing allowing this posting and information to reach approximately 15,000 subscribers.
